Dave Huth

Hi, my name is Dave.

I’m a teacher, storyteller, picture maker, and whistler of jaunty tunes. I work as a professor of visual communication and media arts at Houghton College in Western New York state.

I’m obsessed with artistic narrative and community conversation as good ways to explore just about any good idea you can think of. Natural history¬†communication and conservation photography remain my¬†deepest passion and most fun challenge.

Below (and to the right) are links to some of my ongoing projects online. The first link will take you to my online portfolio and sandbox of ideas.

This online field guide and celebration of all things herpetological is a collaborative photography and video project with Steven David Johnson.

“Cowbird” is a digital storytelling network. My stories there focus on human encounters with the natural world.
